AAEN Trail Quiet Performance Pipes for the Polaris Dragon 700 |
|
The Polaris Dragon 700 motor offered sledders great performance in the
07 season. The semi direct injection was snappy on acceleration and the power band had good torque. When we tested the Polaris
Dragon 700 motor on our dyno we saw a power peak of 135.6 at 8000 rpm, but the peak stayed around 135 HP all the way from 7800
rpm to 8100 rpm. By 8300 rpm, the power is falling rapidly. In order to extract more power form the Polaris Dragon 700, we developed
our Aaen "Trail Quiet" Performance Pipe to deliver a more efficient cylinder filling at 8200 rpm. The result is a power peak of 142.6
HP if the Aaen "Internal Stinger" pipe is used with the stock Polaris Dragon 700 muffler. This represents a 7 HP increase over stock.
Power is kept above 140 HP from 8000 to 8400 rpm.
When the Aaen "Trail Quiet" Performance Pipe is used with the Aaen "Double Core" Silencer, the power of the Polaris Dragon
700 motor peaks at 145 HP at 8200 rpm, and stays above 142 HP from 8000 to 8400 rpm. This is an increase of 9.4 HP over stock. The
Aaen "Trail Quiet" Pipe for the Polaris Dragon is 5 lbs. lighter than the stock pipe, and the "Double Core" Silencer is 9 lbs.
lighter than the stock muffler. Sound readings with the Aaen "Trail Quiet" Pipe and "Double Core" Silencer was 82.5 dB(A) at 4000
rpm at 157.5 inches distance (new DNR test procedure). The legal limit is 88 dB(A). The "Trail Quiet" pipe and "Double Core"
silencers are available in both black finish or double silver ceramic coating.
